Katie West Therapy

Helping adults move toward healing, clarity, and meaningful change.

A warm, client-centered space in Anaheim Hills for individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, stress, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm.

My approach

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 17 years of experience working with adults from many different backgrounds. My style is warm, empathetic, and client-centered, while also being active and engaged in the therapy process. Together, we will create space to grieve, understand what you are carrying, process painful experiences, and move toward healing, acceptance, and a greater sense of peace.

People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don’t find myself saying, “Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner.” I don’t try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.”

Providing you with a safe space to feel

All your appointments are held in my private office with a beautiful view of the city. My goal is to provide you a comfortable environment to allow space for growth.

Specialities

  • Anger Management

Anger is often a signal that something deeper needs care and attention. I help clients better understand the emotions beneath their anger, recognize patterns in their reactions, and develop tools to feel more grounded, connected, and in control.

  • Grief

Grief is love with nowhere to go. After experiencing loss, I came to understand how deeply life-altering grief can be. We are never quite the same after losing someone or something meaningful. I enjoy helping individuals make space for grief, validate their deepest feelings, and learn how to honor what they have lost while continuing to move through life.

  • Codependency

Codependency is often a pattern that develops over time. It can show up as difficulty setting boundaries, putting others’ needs before your own, ignoring your own emotions, and building resentment from carrying too much. Through greater understanding and awareness, we can begin to work on the thoughts, behaviors, and relationship patterns that keep codependency in place, creating space for healthier boundaries, self-trust, and healing.

    Description goes here

“I would highly recommend her to anyone. She is compassionate, yet stern when appropriate, and I truly feel that she has my best interest at heart. I just need to listen and do the work. She is a beautiful soul and I'm so grateful to have found her..”
